Take the Intensive Cambridge CAE Preparation course at inlingua Vancouver if you want to pass this exam and learn a lot of English.

The Cambridge Examinations are the most popular certificates of British English and are widely accepted in both the business and academic world to demonstrate language proficiency. CAE is the second highest level Cambridge ESOL exam, at level C1 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Choose Cambridge CAE - Certificate in Advanced English if you are reaching a standard of English that is adequate for most purposes, including social and professional situations, and in higher education. Cambridge CAE recognises the ability to communicate with confidence in English and deal with most aspects of everyday life. Students at inlingua Vancouver should note that this course is a more advanced course than Cambridge FCE.

Course Schedule

The CAE complete program lasts 9 or 13 weeks and the Examination is taken at the end. It is a full time program for very serious students. The CAE Test is taken at is taken at one of the nearby Cambridge Testing Centres. Classes are from Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Students can join the program until the 3rd week and must register for the remainder of the session and the test at the end.

 The Speaking section for the CAE examination will take place up to 9 days after the written test.

In addition to these courses, there will be 3 summer sessions, with a duration of 4 weeks and the following start dates: June 18, July 16 and August 13, 2012.

Course Requirements

To enter the Cambridge CAE Preparation course, students must place at level 3B-Upper Intermediate or above on the inlingua general Placement test. Students who register and are placed at lower levels will first be placed in appropriate lessons according to their level or in Cambridge FCE. After reaching the minimum level of 3B students will be accepted in the CAE program.

Testing and Examination

There are 5 papers included in the Cambridge CAE Examinations, testing the following skills: Writing, Reading, Listening, Use of English, Oral Production. At inlingua Vancouver’s Cambridge CAE Preparation course, students will improve all their English skills to achieve high marks in all the 5 papers.
